Yaşar GÜLER

General

General Yaşar GÜLER was born in Ardahan in 1954. He graduated from the Army Academy with the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1974 and from Signal Corps School in 1975.

Having served as the Signaling Platoon and Company Commander at various units between the years of 1975 and 1984, General GÜLER graduated from the Army War College in 1986 and from the Armed Forces College in 1988.

As staff officer, he served as the Chief of Operations at the Internal Regional Command between 1986 and 1988, as the Planning Officer at the Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Army between 1988 and 1991, as the Chief of the Operations and Training Branch at the 12th Infantry Division between 1991 and 1992, as the Internal Security Battalion Commander between 1992 and 1994 in Silopi, as the Turkish Deputy Brigade Commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina between 1994 and 1995,...
